And would you hire this person as a daycare provider?

(see attachment)

I saw this posted up on the bulletin board at a local establishment and just thought the irony was too funny.

It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

I might still hire them, but I would definitely point out the error!

My daughter is in a daycare center that also has a pre-K program. My son was in that program a few years ago as well. The teacher at that time was a very smart girl who has since gone on to become the director at another preschool.

Maybe she is dyslexic.

I don't know if that alone would automatically take her off the list of protential providers. Don't know if it is an indication of something or just an oops.

Argh, see this is why latin should still be taught in high school ;). It is such a common error and it drives me NUTS every time, lol.

Dd's preschool director had been an elementary school teacher for 25 years, in a district with many immigrants, before opening her preschool.

Dd was there for 2 years. Never did the bleeping woman learn to pronounce our last name. The last name is "furrin," but it is not really all that difficult. Most normal people get it in 2-3 tries.

Then I took dd to Greece for 6 months. When I returned, I told the woman that dd had finally started speaking Greek (one of the reasons for the trip). "But, Mrs. [our name mangled] does [dd, with her name mispronounced too] still speak English?" Uhm, yeah, you dimwit, it is, like, you know, her, uhm, native language and her mother does not speak Greek (now I do, but then I did not), and it IS actually possible for kids to speak more than one language. As the acronym goes: BAER.

I shudder to think what she did to the kids she taught for 25 years.

Possibly. There are other things she has written, and said to me, that lead me to believe she just doesn't pay much attention.

I wouldn't even give it a second glance.
