In general, cast iron isn't recommended on the ceramic tops because cast iron doesn't conduct heat as well as other metals (like aluminum or copper).

Oh, I don't think a self-help feel-good program is all that bad in and of itself. It's cheaper than therapy if your self-esteem needs boosting. It's when it's presented as the Gospel of Christ that it's a bit problematic.

I don't think it's an unreasonable expectation of a pastor to expect him to be educated in the primary topic matter.

There is a difference from a pastor to a doctor-lol!!

I think someone like himself had a lot of experience as he took over from his father. It wasn't like he just walked into church one day and didn't know anything at all. While he was "behind the scenes" all those years, he still gained experience.

I have been in church listening to sermons for fifty years, teaching Sunday School, Bible School, studying and producing histories of Christianity, volunteering in many roles. That certainly doesn't qualify me for ordination.

This is a self-help, feel-good program

Sorry you feel that is so horrible :(

She didn't say that was so horrible all she said that was that it wasn't the gospel and it's not.

What could be problematic is that people don't recognize the difference.

isn't the timing interesting, we paid tribute and respect this week to the inventor, steve jobs whose technology helps us communicate but who never finished college but we can't respect an evangelist who reaches lots of people with his sermons because he isn't formerly educated. differences are beautiful is really, really applicable here. ;-)
