Yes, good point actually. These days I do not manage a staff day to day, but even if I have a freelancer working on something, I prefer to have some facetime, even if not strictly necessary, for similar reasons. People tend to be more accountable if they have to look you in the face, and many times you also find things out in the prcess of sitting together and looking over a project.

People, especially many of the young ones, IME now of course think that they deserve the world at jobs. They want all the glory and pay but none of the work. They don't get how it really is out there and that not everything is handed to you.

Cru, I imagine your priest does have a lot of work to do. Good thing you have a full-time priest. Many parishes do not because of decling vocations, or at least declining numbers of men willing to answer the call.
