In light of the topic "Where have you lived", I thought this would be fun!

I have vacationed (visited), England, Louisiana, Texas (more than 10 times), Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Mississippi, and Hawaii.

I have been through, or in for a SHORT time, New York, San Diego, CA, Mexico (no intentions of ever going again).

Hmmm, not sure if I am remembering everywhere (and counting only places I haven't actually lived in, even though we travelled a lot within those countries), but here goes: in the US...Oregon, Washington (DC and state), Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Wyoming. Other places: Ontario, British Columbia, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Denmark, Norway, Scotland, Ireland, the Netherlands. I have spent a short time in Slovenia and Slovakia (before the break up of the two countries).

Lets see....be prepared, this is kind of long, lol!!

I've traveled through most of the U.S.-all states except a few of the midwest, east coast and carolinas. East coast I've been to Massachusetts and Florida, Midwest I *havent* been to Ohio, Iowa or Nebraska.

Outside of the U.S? Canada several times, Mexico several times. England, Ireland, Thailand, Belize, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, France, Italy and Denmark.

We are going to Mexico in a week (dh and the kids have never been), to a little town outside of Puerto Vallerta. A friend of my brothers lives there and we got a great deal on a house with a private beach! And I think in January we might do Disney World (none of us have been). I think next year we are going to try to take a trip to either Germany or through Scandanavia.

We *love* to travel ;o)!!!

Which town near Puerto Vallarta??? I lived for 4 years in San Blas (when I was little, before turism hit, we were practically the only Americans there). Puerto Vallarta and Tepic were the two closests cities for us, we actually took most of our vacations in Puerto Vallarta. I hope you guys have a great vacation there!

Sounds fantastic! Our apartment was a block from the beach and we spent all our afternoons there after school....What I miss the most, though, is the geckos that used to climb up the walls of our bedroom.

For the most part I have vacationed in the state/country where I have lived so I have vacationed in Michigan, Japan, Turkey, Oklahoma and Texas. Other places I have vacationed are Missouri, Louisiana, Ohio, Indiana, New York state, Utah and Canada.

A much bigger list would be the states/countries that I have been in. That includes most of the states west of the Mississippi including Alaska, Hawaii and Guam (I know not a state). Most of the states in middle America but only New York and Florida on the eastern seaboard. Also Germany.

In the U.S.: L.A., San Francisco/Napa Valley, the Outer Banks of NC, to many parts of Florida, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Block Island (off RI), beaches all over Delaware and NJ, NYC, skiing in Vermont, Chicago, Washington, DC., Seattle.

Around the U.S.: Canada (Niagara Falls), Bermuda.

In Europe: all over Ireland (DH and I lived there), France several times, Italy several times, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and twice to England. We're thinking about going to Switzerland in March, but we're still on the fence.

Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear it. I just heard the good news and popped back over, just in case you were still checking in.

do you mean in my whole wide life? or just since im married?

when growing up, we went out to the end of long island, ny. amaganset(sp), east hampton(the poor side). it was awesome. a country life with the bay and the ocean. my dad and i would get up at 6am to go fishing off the pier, and bring home gobs of fish for dinner. looooved it.

while married, well, because we're so far from home, nj has been the main vacation we've taken over the years, although drove out to colorado one year, and visited friends and relatives along the way. have vacationed quite a few times at the nj shore, and have gone to florida a couple times. when we were married 20 years, we had my parents come down to stay with the kids while we went to the coast. well, two days gone, and guess what.....i started passing a kidney stone that wouldnt quit. came home and went into the hospital for surgery!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! the next year we did it again, minus the kidney stone. was fun in charleston, sc. for our 25th next year, it will involve either a plane or a ship! thats gonna be a good one...

Well, not counting when I was growing up, I have been all over. In college, I spent a semester abroad in Italy, and while there, traveled all over Europe to basically every country. I've been basically all over the US - after dh and I were engaged, we spent 3 weeks driving across country seeing all kinds of interesting places. I visited dh in Hawaii then moved there for 6 mths - while there, I vacationed/visited each of the islands except Lanai.

For our honeymoon, we went to Bali, Indonesia and stopped in Hong Kong for several days on the way there and back.

Last year, as our last hurrah b/f having our third child, we went to St. John in the Caribbean for 6 days.

We've also been to the Seattle area and up to Victoria, B.C. Also been to Toronto.

I guess I could name all the places in the U.S. we've been but that would take forever. Some of my favorites were Havasu Canyon in AZ and Down East Maine.

Some day I hope to make it to Africa, Australia and South America.

Actually, there are many places I'd like to go before I die! I love to travel.
