I guess we're a dying breed, too. We have never paid a dime for TV and would get rid of the TV altogether rather than do so.

I guess my family and I live in all those rare areas of the USA where you don't need to pay for television.

We had no TV, no computer, and no internet when my kids were small and they still managed to fill their days.

No, we do not have cable. The part of my family that lives in the DC area does not have cable. The part of my family that lives in southern California does not have cable. Somehow we all manage to survive, stay informed, and entertain ourselves.
