My kids go to friends homes with video games.

It still doesn't even come close to being $60/month. Even with long distance. Free local calls and long distance are like $35-$45/mo or so. Or you could do what I do for long distance-- buy a calling card and use it. Or use your cell phone.

Actually, they tell you it's only $45 or whatever, but by the time you get all the fees and taxes added in
