I couldnt agree more. We didnt even have a TV when I was growing up (and I'm 38 not 108;)). We have a TV in our home but its only on less than an hour a day for the kids on average, and many days not at all.
My next door neighbors don't have TV in their home either and their kids are 16 and 18 (and they could afford to have a big as- flat screen in every room I'm sure!).


Kids don't *need* these things. Parents, IMO, "need" them more. Its

Wow. That's really crazy. We have Verizon right now, and even with all of the maintenance stuff and taxes it's only $20 or so. In IL, we had AT&T and it was even less.

I am not doubting it is illegal. The point was that there are many people who do live like that even if it is illegal.

We have given calling cards as gifts in many different amounts, it's usually a favorite of college age nieces and nephews.
