when I downsized myself out of my marriage I became a devotee of store brands -- there are few things that can get me to buy 'name brands' now - it was one of the first places I started cutting and it has made a difference.

Yes. We. Did.

It's probably cheaper for the gas than it is to live closer to where they work.

Yes, I'm sure that they have no other choice but to commute 90 miles each day and pay $400/month on gas.

Like I said, there would have to be an extreme set of circumstances for me to make that choice.

Like I said, I'm sure your daughter has no choice but to spend $400/month on gas.

I find it funny/ridiculous that some people spend so much on gas. If you looked at what I spend on certain things, I'm sure you'd find them funny/ridiculous as well.

I doubt that most people have no choice when it comes to having a long commute and spending so much on gas. I PERSONALLY, would not CHOOSE to do that unless I was faced with an extreme set of circumstances (i.e. no other choices). I am not saying that anyone who CHOOSES to have a long commute and spend so much on gas is faced with an extreme set of circumstances (i.e. no other choices). Just that there would need to be an extreme set of circumstances (i.e. no other choices) for ME to do so.
