Heck, my dd, until recently, had a double bed and shared it during the few sleepovers we've had (we rarely do them).

But it's a choice.

Personally, I wouldn't choose a career path that required me to work in a city, if I wanted to live in a small town . . .

My father, a federal govt employee, was in the same carpool for 30 years with two other men (at one point, there were three others).

But can you understand that in many areas - especially New England its possible to do both -- work in the city and live in a small town?

Yes. We. Did.

Wow.

As someone who once had an amazing job that she planned to keep forever, working for a wonderful company full of people who she loved and who loved her and would have employed her forever, only to have all of the afore-mentioned individuals surprised one day by the announcement that the company would soon cease to exist, I find this extremely cocky and short-sighted.

You never know what the future holds.

Then I would be looking for a position in a small town.

Exactly.

Where we live the closest city is 25 miles away, the closest 'big' city is at least an hour away.
