what's funny is i have a friend whose husband makes alot of money,they live in the nicest home and their kids go to the best schools.....but we were exchanging email addresses once and i didn't recognize her internet provider so i asked her about it.

I am not sure if you understand my cable has no "special" stations. It is the normal family cable. Everything at the company is called cable.

Well duh...cut your cable AND your internet, neither of which are necessities, and you've got yourself a 78 dollar a month savings. If you wanted to save more money. Which, of course, you don't.

And professional haircuts and manicures! Which is why it's impossible to save money. She's right there. If you have a hundred dollars a month discretionary income, you can't spend it and save it at the same time.

No, you spent money. You just spent a little less than you would have had you not done it that way. It's not saving money. (And now that I think about it, new furniture is not a need either. That's fine if you want it, but please please never say you can't save again. because it would be a lie.)
