I did not pay for my airfare or hotel. I went to a wedding of my godparents daughter whom my parents have been friends with for over 40 years. I wouldn't have missed it for a second.

"It is only told by people who do not watch tv or have cable so they think it can just be cut out."

ARE YOU NOT EVEN LISTENING TO THE TWO SELF-PROCLAIMED TV ADDICTS WHO HAVE TOLD YOU THAT THEY DID INDEED CUT CABLE WHEN THEY WANTED TO SAVE? WHAT IS HARD ABOUT THAT?

The problem with your smoking analogy is that most smokers know full well they are burning up money that would better be put to almost any other cause. Few of them are puffing away on their deathsticks while claiming there is no fat whatsoever in their budgets.

Well when someone asks and I answer, they say I am not taking advice:

"Cable TV" would be the TV reception that comes into your house through that cable box the guy from the cable company put in. Free TV would be whatever you can receive without paying for cable.

I, for one, was not giving you advice.

I was saying how you can not get anymore channels with the antenna (probably because no one does it anymore by me). The cable company makes it very hard as you HAVE to have the digital box (not sure about just basic though-the channels you would get with an antenna).

Same here...I could probably sit down right now and tell you how I could save three thousand dollars more a month than we do if we had to. We don't have to, so we don't. But I am not claiming I *can't* save money, I am claiming that I don't choose to do so.

No, since I don't smoke and don't think it is not worth the money, I would say that is the first to go. Yes, I see that others who like TV have given it up but I doubt many tv-holics would do that.
