How can you simultaneously see that some people who like TV have given it up because they couldn't afford it and yet claim that only people who don't like TV are claiming that cable is an expendable expense?

No, it doesn't. A hundred dollars here, a hundred dollars here, pretty soon you are talking about real money. Real money that means that you don't have to go into debt to buy furniture, that you don't have to take on car payments, that you don't have to save up money to buy a gift when you are invited to one more wedding than you'd planned on for the summer.

I have 4 people (think 7 though for my dh!!) to feed. I DO cut out alot of things, buying 99% of things that are on sale. It does cost me a little more as I buy alot of fruits and vegetables as they are more expensive than junk food.
