Well, since 1 BILLION people live on less than $2 a day, two dollars a week would be quite a bit to them.
Where am I in debt buying the furniture?
We will always have a car payment and we know that. We do not buy cheap cars for people selling or used car dealerships. BTDT and will always buy where you have a warranty and a reputable place and decent car that will get us many many years out of.
I did save for that wedding in the summer and it was the BIGGEST waste of money as it was a disaster and the white trash couple did NOT appreciate it for a second. We spent WAY too much money as we did it as they were friends and did not give the amount for the kind of wedding it was. My neighbors gave $50 for 3 adults and 2 children.
For us, standard cable would be $50/month. Basic cable is $14/month.

This is the point where people claim I am not listening and don't want to take advice:
1) Turn down your thermostats 2 degree from where
I have no idea what you are saying. What do you mean by "how you can not get anymore channels with the antenna?"
"The cable company makes it very hard as you HAVE to have the digital box"
The cable company makes what very hard? To get non-publicly broadcasted channels? You've never been able to get those by using an antenna-- they aren't publicly broadcast (as I understand it). They are only available through cable or satellite. And it has nothing to do with having a digital box.
My fil used to use an antenna many years ago and barely got 2-13. You can't much if any with an antenna anymore. You can't get basic cable without a special box that you have to pay for per month.
You are in debt buying the furniture because you are in hock spending money you do not have on the furniture. If you weren't saving up money to pay off what you owe on the furniture, you could pay off your car sooner. There is no reason anybody has to "always" have a car payment. My husband and I together have bought about eight cars in our lives and the only time we ever had car payments was the time they had 0.9% financing and it didn't make sense to take money out of the bank early in that instance.
Another way to cut your budget -- see, you came up with it yourself. Don't send expensive presents to people who throw white trash weddings. That's not even a category in my budget! Of course, "white trash" isn't a category in my outlook on the world either. But regardless, I am sure you could come up with a few more creative ways to cut your budget if you try.
