There is a spot on the renewal form when you renew your paper for a carrier tip, and most people seem to send ten dollars or so their way at renewal time. Other than that, hardly ever.

What they do have is tremendous sales contests about once a quarter for new subscriptions. My younger one has won a 200 savings bond and an I-Pod Mini in the last year.

Well we have many different packages from basic to Silver that includes most of the pay channels. They are all called "cable".

Wow amazing, that's what it's also called outside of Long Island.

I used to work with a girl who had her own cleaning company at night and she was making $1,600-$1,800/month and that was about 13 years ago! Not sure how much she actually grossed every month from it but it must have been enough to do it on top of her ft day job and have a child.

Oh good lord, I don't believe you are trying to now claim that you didn't know what we are talking about & that you call cable something else.

That is good that they at least do it at renewal time.

That is sad that they do not give a tip every week. The adults that do it by me are making good money delivering the paper (about $900/month) AND get tips on top of that (usually between $2-5 PER house). They are doing pretty well with these 2nd jobs.

I was brought up that "cable" was HBO, SHO, CINEMAX, etc. and when someone said they had cable, they had the extra channels (MTV was one of them then and we did not have it until it was included in the regular lineup).
