I explained that my dh uses the internet to sell things on ebay. Our phone would still be about $60/month without any extras. When we switched over it was costing us that much without any extras.

I think they're different.

If the your parents claimed they didn't have cable because they didn't pay for extra stations, they only paid for regular stations, then they were wrong, they still had cable.

"No, I will not cut out my TV, phone or internet as it is needed (at least the internet) for us."

Never said cable was needed, I said internet as my dh sells things on ebay.

STILL. DOESN'T. MATTER.

If we had exactly the same bills, and I chose to cut one of those bills out (i.e. cable), then I'd be saving more than if I continued to choose to pay that bill.

Why on earth would your phone bill be about $60 w/out extras?

I'm beginning to question your integrity.

Probably not, we don't make much now-lololol!!! Seriously, if we lived in a lower col, we would make a profit on buying a house elsewhere. We are not in the market to do that anytime soon though.

I agree with you about not knowing the carrier!! We got the paper many, many years ago and NEVER knew who delivered it! My neighbor's dh does it now but we cancelled as even though it did not cost very much, I hated the papers in the house everyday. My dh will get the Sunday paper now for the advertisments and coupons that do not get sent to me in the free paper I get.

No, they call them "cable" but since my sister does not have extra channels, she also says she does not have cable.
