Oh come on. Cable is definetly a luxury/ non essential. No matter what kind of package it is.
We have comcast. Cheapest package they have, so that the kids can watch PBS. And if we needed to budget we'd dump it in 20 seconds flat. Just as easy to read a book, play, or do whatever.

If you have called it something that you will NEVER get rid of and put it on the same level as food, and food is a NEED, then commen sense says that you feel it is a need.
