Oh...so now you don't know Bord but was willing to talk about it? Bawhhhaaa......

Don't you like to get the facts before you debate someone on something that you might just agree with them on?

I guess it is easier just to attack me and Jams without knowing the facts. Wow.

I agree, role models are subjective. My kids have learned a lot by my SAH actually, I am grateful they can be trusted and bestow kindness and good manners to others. About language, I hand it to my kiddo that has mastered French much better than I, I ask her for translations a lot, Lol. Her next feat is fluent Italian.

I cannot think of one thing my DDs learned from me that have anything at all to do with my SAH status.

Yeah? I think my vocabulary is better than yours.  That doesn't mean I think I'm better than you.

Having a good vocabulary has been quite helpful in my life and career.  The proper use of words (and context) is crucial to my daily work.

The daily work that hasn't advanced you much farther than this illiterate person over here. BAER.

My kid is a socially-aware, sentient being who understands that different situations call for different kinds of language use. She wouldn't sit at her boyfriend's parents' dinner table and drop F-bombs. She's been to churches before. She's stood up in front of hundreds of lawmakers and educators and given speeches. She can write a persuasive paper that makes my work look amateurish. She writes in comprehensible sentences, which is more than I can say about many adults I've met in my life. She's quite composed when the occasion calls for it.

You think you are illiterate? Sorry to hear that. How are you reading this board then?

"How far" I've gotten isn't measured by the success or failure of others.  I'm pleased with where I am.
