Reading, sewing, doing jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, being online. All while watching movies on TV. And above all, enjoying the silence (except for the TV).
The truth may be out there but lies are in your head. Terry Pratchett
catch up with a book,find a lunch date,watch the view,the mid-day news,oprah w/o interruption,nap,journal,shop....before long,it will be late afternoon and *your* day will be over ;).
Well, in a perfect world, I would go shopping and out for lunch with a friend (likely one whom can also go sans kids, and we could actually have some adult conversation).
Actually, I had the perfect day yesterday. Dh was at work until 7pm and Dylan wanted picked up at 5pm. I spend the morning sewing, read during lunch, and crocheted in the afternoon. I watched Von Ryan's Express in the morning while I sewed; Tombstone in the afternoon while I crocheted. I finished a 15th C. gown and a pair of 15th C. hose in the morning and have both sides of the wool soakers that I'm crocheting for Lindsay ready to block and sew together. Then after dinner, I started some Anglo-Saxon trousers.
Sounds great, glad you enjoyed your day!
I would sleep in.
then I would take a nice long shower
go have lunch somewhere hoity toity and non-kid friendly and snicker at anyone that showed up with a kid
then I would do a little shopping
come home and watch a Doris Day movie while I snacked on two-bite brownies and hot tea
then I would continue to ignore everyone that came home and enjoy my evening.
