Yes, the budget is compiled by the Elected Board of our Congregation and voted on at our Annual Membership meeting.

slightly OT but because of my height and my inseam (35 inches) and the fact that I don't weigh 7 pounds I often by men's jeans b/c I can get them sized for my ample belly AND my legs (apparently it's ok for me to be chubby and tall but not women) anyway -- everytime I wear them liza shouts "boy pants! boy pants!"

Possibly, but even if my mom always gave me money and told me to buy x or y, I wouldn't find it controlling. At least not any more or less than if she always bought a gift that she wanted me to have.
