I have never had a Christmas without at least one present and did not know anyone who hasn't either. Yes, I associate Christmas with presents as does most people.

Don't you have class parents who organize to give one gift at the holidays?

Well I don't think I am the only one who associates Christmas with at least one gift given to you. My dh's mother, who did not have much raising 3 young children on her own was able to give her kids Christmas every year. My dh would never let his kids go without at least one gift as he know that his mother probably worked overtime to get them gifts but she did it because it was Christmas. That is why we give food and toys to underpriveleged children so they can have a Christmas too.

Why do you think they collect toys for underpriveleged kids at Christmas time? Mainly because most people associate Christmas with gifts.

Our PTA does that.

How do you know personally what the teachers need? Why because you don't care to get gifts and don't "need" anything do you assume everyone is like that? While my mom always says she doesn't need anything,

Why? You can be religious and very giving to others and still want to celebrate Christmas with presents for your family and friends and others that are in your life throughout the years.

<appears that you are very self indulgent, and that you are raising your children to be also.>>
