<<the point is that most people do NOT think it is shallow to have gifts at Christmas time >>

Okay. But campbell didn't say it was. She didn't say anything in contrary to that.

She said it is shallow to think that a Christmas without gifts is equal to no Christmas at all.

The point is that not all women have bank accounts. None of my dh's family ever did and some still don't.

Well lets see, when you know someone and their kids are not dressed properly and are living in bad conditions but the mom is able to buy cigarettes, go out to drink

Mine is white and I really need to use mine more as it really is great, easy to use and very easy to clean.

So when you contribute for poor children because "they will not be able to have a Christmas" I guess it is just being shallow.

How do these women then spend this moeny for their own personal use? If not via a bank account? Do they carry around hordes of cash? Do their exes pay them CS in cash?

Sure, it doesn't take a genius to know she's spending money on cigs. But you don't know that that money is coming from the CS the father pays.

Oh dear. Please point out where I have said something other than "It is not shallow to give gifts or enjoy giving gifts."

Did you use that at another time or did you leave it in savings because if you did then there would be no excuse for not being able to afford anything.

Do you even read the posts.

Perhaps if Hazel hadn't slammed Ducky last month when Ducky admitted that finances have forced reduced Christmas shopping before, Hazel would not be reaping the fruits of her sowing now. Dontcha think?
