Mostly family. Appreciating what and who you have, spending time doing nice things for others, that kind of stuff. I don't think it's any different than what anyone else thinks it's about, barring the Jesus stuff.

You could get some decent stocking stuffers, if you didn't want to spend money on "junky things" (which I guess you haven't been to a dollar store lately as you can get some great stuff for the kids), with $100.

That is what most people think of Christmas. It just has always been a time to give gifts and I don't see the problem with being able to do both. There are so many things that I look forward to than just gifts at Christmas time.

It is glaringly obvious that there are two ways to read that sentence. One of them is that her mother sent the money to buy the presents with. The other way is that she sent the money, so that is how they were able to get stocking stuffers. Since she has clarified she means the SECOND meaning, why do you continue to call her a liar?

With 5 kids and $100 AND splitting it 3 ways for stockings, savings and charity, how much could you have possibly spent on the stockings?

Some people think there is such thing as too much stuff. You apparently are not one of those people. Doesn't mean you should belittle people who don't think like you.
