<<Tradition in western culture dictates that a child who behaves badly during the year will receive only a piece of coal." >>

Tradition in our household is that those who behave badly get white underwear and socks, lol.

I'm just wondering if there is some maximum value that those "small toys" can have without violating some statute or other. I mean, duh, obviously the stuff in stockings is rather small. Last time I checked, games for the DS were absurdly small. So is jewelry. I had no idea we'd been doing it wrong all these years!

One year, when money was tight...which was most years, I get the extra expensive shampoo in my stocking, not the cheapo stuff....that was amazing to me and I still remember that years later.

Me being the kitchen nut that I am....I can see wanting to pick out one's own pots and pans.

That is why I took the book out of the library! I love how positive he is but I am not running out to support him financially or his church.

Uhm, again, why do I need some random link on the internet to let me know where my tithes are going? Yes, it pays to keep the church building warm and the lights on, and to buy music for the choir and keep the physical facility clean and well-maintained, and pay for the gas in the vansand to put supplies in the Sunday School rooms and to pay the staff salaries. That is only a percentage of our church budget, though.
