Ya know? The same is true for faculty ... 10% of my faculty give me 90% of my headaches ...

No, gifts given to teachers by their students are not taxable income.

Of course not. But then, I never indicated anything to the contrary. Nor did I indicate that a "no" answer to any question that you posed would constitute a "checked out" parent.

I also don't think that my children talking to members of a youth group is necessarily a bad thing.

I did know all the adults my children worked with on a regular basis in elementary school, even the volunteers. My elementary are children didn't have adult relationships without my approval. I know all the adults in my 12 year old's life as well. I don't know all the adults my 16 year old has relationships with, particularly those just a bit older than he whom he might meet at atlethic events, etc. But if he formed a close enough relationship with someone that he wanted to visit that person's church, etc, I would definitely meet that person. There is no way an unknown adult would be able to pick up one of my kids and take them to youth group without me knowing!

Many people get sucked into the "cult church" though and give all their time and money to it. They believe what they say and don't just say they have another church (or maybe they don't and are looking for somewhere to belong).

Sorry, quite busy. I am sure a bunch of things will come up if you google it.

Are you talking about monks and nuns and people like that? People who give up their whole life for God and join a church order? Don't have sex or their own personal property and take vows to surrender their own personal will to that of their religious superiors? That kind of cult?

<<Well since they were going to the school, they were not aware of what was going on.>>

The youth group and the church that they were joining were while they were going to school, this occurred during school hours only?

Sorry, but I don't like herring. Especially red ones.
