Thinking about Friday's record Mega Millions lottery, how do you think lottery winnings should come into play in a divorce situation?

Me and my husband ALREADY discussed this. We would put away the winnings into an account for the kids that would become available when they are 25yo. they can buy a house for themselves or pay for college loans, or what ever need be. if it was the full winnings we would give each family member ie uncles, aunts, parents, grand parents 10 mil each, we would make home repairs, and buy new cars, we would put about 1-5 million into our bank account and the rest will be converted into gold and put into a swiss acount

I would set up a trust for my kids that could be used for certain items, and give them a monthly allowance, if they met certain conditions.

I would offer to buy Ex a house if he moved back to my area. And I'd pay off any debt he has.

I would set up college funds for my nephew and some of my soccer players.

I'd buy a new house and car...maybe two cars...LOL

Then I'd build my dream...an indoor soccer arena...5-6 fields, workout facilities, etc. Sooo my dream.

I think it should make a difference in a divorce situation, especially if it's a huge amount. Would it be fair to ask the NCP to continue paying child support if the CP won?

I would hope I would be generous enough to share it with my ex depending on the circumstances, especially where it would be beneficial to the kids. I would also share it among my family, set up trust for the kids, and would love to start a foundation that helps women and children.

I love the indoor soccer arena! Would it be for all ages or focused more on kids?

unfortunately courts don't side with NCPs very often and still usually make NCPs pay child support... because NCPs should STILL support their children. and i think they should, yes, but if you won severl hundred million dollars, do you REALLY need the CS? i think not

Totally off topic, but normally I'm on my phone, so I don't see the full-site.
