This thread put another thought in my head, simple debate.


At what point do you stop covering for the iffy NCP and let them own their own decisions that affect the kid?

IMO. When the kid figures it out. I won't lie for my ex. I also won't go the other extreme to say something like, "your dad just can't be bothered with you right now."

I think this works better/easier for us because we don't have a set visitation schedule at all. It varies every single week and it never includes an overnight. It would be different if DS were expecting to see his dad on certain days. As it is, our flexibility allows for changes which has benefited both parents.
