A mom who is divorcing her husband, put a sign in their front yard advertising that he left her for a younger woman which is why the house is for sale: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/ex-wife-uses-story-cheating-former-husband-sell-221218162.html
I just saw an interview with her on The View, she said that she had her ex's permission to use the sign. I'm a bit worried about the affect of such a sign on their kids, do you think it's appropriate for them to be putting this out their in public?

I don't think it's appropriate. My SS's mother bad mouth's my husband a lot, especially when she is under stress. The problems it has caused are awful. He has to see a therapist, and has become more and more depressed. And sometimes even when the parents aren't arguing in front of the child, the child can still pick up on the parents being upset with each other. If my SS knows that BM is mad at DH then he tries to manipulate the both to try and get something he wants.
No. I think to include it as a reason to sell the house could grab all kinds of attention yes, but people would be hoping to get the house quick and cheap since they knew that it HAD to be sold and that the family inside would want it to happen quickly!
I know when we were looking to buy our agent was always quick to add things like 'they already bought and need to sell fast' or 'the couple living here has split, so they want out fast and could take a lower offer'.
