Huffington Post has an article regarding what you should do with the momentos you've kept from you wedding such as your dress, photos, and jewelry:

What did you do with all of yours?  Would you give your kids a wedding photo to display in their rooms, or is that disrespectful to your current spouse?

I saw no point in keeping the dress.  I got rid of it years before we divorced.  I sold my wedding ring to pay for divorce related expenses. The pictures and albums I kept.  They're boxed up for my kids if they ever want to go through them, or have them.  If one of them wanted one in their room, they could.  If my partner had an issue with that, too bad.

Funny you should ask - about 6 months ago, I came across the biomom's wedding dress in a box in the basement.   I trashed it - didn't even mention it to my husband b/c that is not a day he cares to remember.  Her wedding dress does not belong in my home and it obviously wasn't important enough to her to pack, so to the trash it went.  In the same bag as the kitty litter I emptied. LOL!  The album is in a box for my stepson if he ever wants it.   Any other photos that do not include my stepson have been thrown away.  The wedding video has been thrown away, as well.  No point in keeping it.
