Hi Ladies

For those of you that still remember the "When SM doesnt get along with stepkids" thread, I have some news.

My BF ( SM ) had a beautiful baby girl last night. BD has not been in contact with her at all since he threw her out. I work with BD, in fact our offices are next to each other.

Do I tell him that his daughter was born last night or do I keep quiet? I feel akward looking at him, knowing what I do, and not saying anything to him. I also dont want to anger my BF right now, as she had a terrible birth experience, and was quite adamant that she does not want him near her or the baby.

The parent in me feels he has a right to know but the friend in me says he is a POS, who abandoned my friend when she needed him most, so he gave up his rights.

Not your business; not your place to tell. I would say nothing.

I agree. I did not say anything to him but he has now found out via her SIL's facebook page. He has confronted me and called me a biotch for not saying anything to him. I replied with " it wasnt my news to tell". I did and do feel bad though.

I should have posted this in chit chat but if

I hope you don't take that kind of behavior from this man at work. Do you have supervisors and an HR department? I think the bully next door to you needs a refresher course in civil behavior toward co-workers. I would cease speaking with this man at all. There really wouldn't be a debate if it was my bff that was his wife in this situation.

I might have added an "Call me a biotch in the workplace again, mister, and you're going to be getting real personal with HR." to the "It wasn't my news to tell." But otherwise, you chose well.

You say nothing. It's not your business. You have NO place in this drama.

I've realised that.He has since found out via FB and was not a happy chappie with me for remaining silent.
