After researching the risks of vaccines, I still want to vaccinate my son (except for chicken pox). However, does any one know if there is any kind of benefit to holding off on them. If I, for example, get him the DPT shot when he is older, rather than as a baby, is the risk of a reaction lowered? I can't find any kind of information on this anywhere.

There is no evidence that delaying the DTaP will reduce the risks of adverse reaction. There is clear evidence, however, that the younger a child is, the higher the risk of complications from contracting a vaccine preventable disease like pertussis. There is also clear evidence that the risks of adverse reaction to DTaP increases significantly in children over the age of 7.
