Does your school require vaccines? Do you follow through on their demands?

Booster vaccines are given through the school and we turned down the dT/IPV they offered a couple of years ago and instead paid privately for the dTaP/IPV. DD also got Cervarix through school - we discussed that at length and went with it. These are not requirements, though, so children can attend unvaccinated, and just need to declare their non-consent to vaccination on the info form. Interestingly, both forms stated that the child (about 13 year olds in this case) could override the parental decision on the day (i.e. get the vaccine despite parents non-consent or not get the vaccine despite parental consent). We discussed that at length with DD.
