knowing the risks of this disease, would still choose to not vax your kid?

"About 2,600 people get meningococcal disease each year in the U.S. 10 to 5 percent of these people die, in spite of treatment with antibiotics. Of those who live, another 11to19 percent lose their arms or legs, become deaf, have problems with their nervous systems, become mentally retarded, or suffer seizures or strokes."

My kid goes to public school, sits in grocery carts, goes to parks, public pools, etc. I am not afraid of him getting any disease. Heck yesterday while at Wal-mart he dropped his water bottle and then drank out of it. So yeah I could care less about germs and disease. My son does not live in a bubble.

I stopped vaccinating at age 2 after he regressed. He is healthier then all the vaccinated children I know. PTL!

In reply to: "What's interesting to me is how parents who choose to not vax their child, don't want their non-vaxed kid around other non-vaxed kids. They are afraid their child will catch something! I find that interesting and curious."

I don't know who you know that feels this way, because I think it is not the majority of non-vaccinating parents. I know I definitely do not feel that way and don't know anyone else who feels that way either.

Ditto - at least 50% of the children my DD plays with are unvaccinated because we also partake in a local attachment/natural playgroup.
