We just got two rescue dogs this year, and they had to have their shots before we got them, and part of the contract was to finish up any remaining shots. Since I didn't vaccinate my own boys, I hate having to vaccinate my dogs.

I thought I had no choice, but then someone posted this to the dog forum I hang out on:

At the moment I don't have a pet but in the past I have gotten them vaccinated. My pets were typically allowed outdoors and had contact with other animals (and their droppings) so I felt it was a good idea. We also traveled by air with some of the pets and the airlines require that the pets be current on vaccinations.
