I have a very hard situation I am in. My husband is a nurse and is questioning all my research on vaccines. I am watching a video on Dr. Tenpenny but before I spend to much time on her I want to know what the medical community thinks of her. I know this is a weird question but with debating with a nurse I need this info to start with.

Generally speaking anyone that speaks out against vaccination in any way is labeled a quack.

Charlotte posted a very true statement. Mainly, anyone that goes against the sacred cows are labeled (medical field): "quacks who practice quackery medicine". Even if the person is only saying, 'hey let's just take a look'. I don't think Dr. Tenpenny makes any bones about her being anti-vaccine. So far, the word from the pro vacc camp at the video posted has been "chirp". I would recommend watching the video with your husband and then look at the merits rather than the person.

Mainstream view is that she's a quack.

Depending on your husbands degree, he may be able to generally explain to you why vaccinating is safe and carries benefit. I understand that nurses who hold a Bachelors of Science in Nursing have taken organic chemistry, introductory microbiology and a basic anatomy and physiology course.

Ad hominems aside, I don't like the term "quack", it denigrates work which she did do which was of benefit to her patients.

Fombonne is a psychiatrist, thus also an MD.

Don't be silly Jon. I wondered if you viewed other people that are expert witnesses for the government in vaccine injury as having a conflict of interest... why are you so defensive today?

I think it's just you.

I view anyone who serves as a plaintiff or defense witness with reasonable doubt.
