I'm sure the members here might be able to give you some good ideas but I thought you might look for more information on our support boards. We have a Vaccine Support board and a Non-Vaccine Support board. I think either one of them might be able to help.
I hope she gets better soon. I have these filed away and the husband wants me to watch a movie so I don't have time to review each one. I'll just post them all.
Not saying I agree with the revaccination because I do not, but prevnar covers 7 strains of pneumo so immunity is not garnered by one natural infection to all of them.
Clearly you're doing the right thing by searching the internet for information on how to medically treat a four year old.
After you tell the physician how to do his/her job, make sure to let he/she know that they wasted a decade and a few hundred thousand dollars on medical school. Obviously everything they needed to know is online!

Hi Lynn!
I'm sure the members here might be able to give you some good ideas but I thought you might look for more information on our support boards. We have a Vaccine Support board and a Non-Vaccine Support board. I think either one of them might be able to help.
I hope your friends' 4yo is feeling better soon!

(Edward is winning twice! Are you going to let him win over Jacob?)
Was it determined that the serotype of pneumococcus she contracted was covered by the vaccine?
Hey Lynn,
I don't have any advice but I am wondering if you could let us know how that 4-year old is doing? Worried about her and her family. :(
http://www.hpakids.org/ <-- maybe there is a holistic pediatric practitioner in the area someone could contact for advice?

Do some strains of wild pneumonia offer lifelong immunity? All of them?
Just curious, I've never read a lot about pneumonia.
According to this: http://www.nap.edu/openbook.php?record_id=920&page=359
Recovery from natural infection with a given pneumococcal type usually is followed by lifelong immunity to reinfection with that type.
