know....I start my new job tomorrow at a daycare, and I was supposed to get a TB test and I believe a HB shot. I just found out I was pg YESTERDAY...I do not know if any of that is safe to get while pg, AND I am not sure I can work there without it???

ANY information would be greatly appreaciated.

Hey Carla - here are the recently updated guidelines from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology regarding vaccination during pregnancy:

Specifically, table 1 (http://www.acog.org/from_home/publications/misc/bco282-1.cfm#table1) lists all the recommendations. Are you certain you will need the HB (hepatitis B, I assume?) vaccine? This vaccine is recommended during pregnancy for those who will be exposed (ie health care workers) or have been exposed. To my knowledge, the PPD (TB test) is not contraindicated during pregnancy and the results are considered valid all through pregnancy. Here's a link:

Congratulations Carla!! (sorry no vax info for you -- but I'll keep you and your baby in my prayers) Hey, did you see my post about PCOS? Man, I don't like this format -- just wanted to make sure you saw it. I even posted to you about it on Vacc Support, but unless you use the "outline" view, you might not have seen my post. So, ignore this if you have seen it, and I'll quit posting reminders everywhere, LOL!! (And if you haven't seen it, it's in the Off Topic Discussion section).
