Is it really vaccines?

I just read the book Fateful Harvest. Has anyone else read it? I suggest that the following issues may be related to children's health issues in the US. I'm not saying that vaccines aren't harmful, but it does seem that the focus on vaccines is distracting public attention from other potentially harmful practices. One of the issues I don't understand is why is it that autism and ADHD and other problems affect boys a lot more frequently than girls? Do boys really react so much differently to the chemicals in vaccines?

Here's the short list:

* Endocrine disrupting chemicals (http://www.epa.gov/ord/NRMRL/EDC/) (http://www.cbc.ca/documentaries/doczone/2008/disappearingmale/)
* Pharmaceuticals and personal care products (http://www.epa.gov/esd/bios/daughton/errata.pdf)
* Fire-retardant chemicals (http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/sunday/commentary/la-oe-blum17-2008oct17,0,6525043.story)
* Addition of industrial wastes contaminated with heavy metals and dioxins to fertilizers used for food crops (legal practice) (http://www.amazon.com/Fateful-Harvest-Global-Industry-Secret/dp/0060931833)

I guess routine contamination of our water and air should be added to the list, but it seems so obvious and it's been going on for so long.

What always enters my mind is that our creator designed our bodies and whatever we take in through our skin or mouth is handled through the immune system. Was our creator thinking about injected toxins when he designed that system? Why didn't he just give us yet another entry then? (A doorway just for vaccines.)

We warn adults against broken light bulbs and thermometers but injecting mercury is okay? Injecting the measles virus is okay? Injecting Hepatitis B into a baby is okay? Pregnant women are not supposed to eat too much fish but it's okay to inject them with disease, aluminum and mercury???

ITA. It goes back to the ingestion/injection debate. I'm always flabbergasted at those who think it's okay to inject because it's the same (or somehow better) than ingestion. "Well, you get aluminum when you drink a coke." What???? How is that the same as injecting it into your body? I get oregano when I eat spaghetti but I'm not gonna mainline some spices! ;-)

How many and which vaccines did you get in the 60s?

I understand what you are saying but it sounds like you are trying to convince yourself. If something is wonderful why say "I have to believe" that it's okay to do?

Here's the way I and many others see it:
After vaccinated a child is still at risk of getting the disease. The shot doesn't protect 100% nor is it lifelong immunity. Heck, I don't see why they can even use the word "immunity" without a 100% success rate. So, in addition to the possibility of still getting the illness there is still the possibility of adverse reactions to the shot! All the vaccinating person is doing is adding more possibility of something going wrong!

And I gotta say, you didn't really answer my questions. How can you be adamant about what you eat and put into your body through your mouth but not be concerned about anything other than the mercury in something that is injected into your body? I don't understand that school of though.

Unless you live in a third world country with poor living conditions and substandard hygiene and medical care I wouldn't worry too much about the "deadly diseases". I'd love to know just which ones you are referring to.

I'm for anyone to do what they want to do - hey, it's America - but I do have a hard time following the logic that individuals want to inject their children (or themselves) with disease so they can prevent the disease. Um... Okay.......

"I was vaccinated back in the late 60's early 70's when they didn't know any of this stuff and I turned out just fine."

You were vaccinated back in the late 60's early 70's with HOW MANY vaccines for HOW MANY diseases?

What does today's schedule look like? Has the number doubled? Has it tripled? Has it quadrupled?

Answers --- No, No and No...it's even more than that!

"I think there could be many things to blame for the rise in Autism cases, but I can't blame vaccines without solid medical proof."

As long as money is the concern, you won't ever see that "solid medical proof". The people who decide who gets vaccinated, how many times each vaccine is given and how often boosters are needed - who are they? Answer that for yourself if you want to know why you will never see that "solid medical proof".

"There just isn't any proven link."

You should complete that sentence with "on either side".

I'm sorry but if you can so easily be convinced that all these shots are for "deadly" diseases then you can be convinced of practically anything. If you really want to protect your child then stop listening to hearsay and do some reading yourself. Go to med school and find out how often they study any negative aspects of vaccines. Arm yourself with the facts and the truth. The doctors who attend med school to be pediatricians get little or no training on the human brain. Ask your doctor friends how much time they spent studying vaccines and how much of the material was NOT approved textbook material. Next ask them how long it takes to get new discoveries printed in textbooks. Then ask them how often a peer reviewed journal with negative info regarding vaccines was ever a part of classroom discussion. After they go into practice do you think there's a lot of time for self-study? Did it ever occur to you that modern medicine MAY be wrong?

Next ask yourself why so many MD's are turning to Naturopathic medicine.

I had the same DPT shot that my brother got - I wasn't brain damaged by it, yet he was. Maybe there's a reason why modern medicine should NOT treat us all as if we are all identical because obviously, one size does not fit all.
