Jenny McCarthy rips Amanda Peet over vaccinations

Former Playboy Playmate Jenny McCarthy and actress Amanda Peet are publicly feuding over the safety of childhood vaccines. Who says there's nothing sexy about inoculations?

Their dispute revolves around the belief among some parents of children with autism—including McCarthy —that certain vaccines may trigger the disorder, although scientific research has shown no evidence of any link.

Peet, a mother and advocate for childhood vaccinations, said in a recent magazine interview that parents who don't vaccinate their children because of autism fears are "parasites."

That made McCarthy very angry, almost as angry as the people who paid to see her recent movie "Witless Protection," in which she starred alongside Larry the Cable Guy.

In an article published Wednesday in Spectrum Magazine, McCarthy said Peet "has a lot of balls to come forward and be on that side, because there is an angry mob on my side. I like the fact that I can say she's completely wrong."

Peet apologized for her word choice but called it irresponsible to suggest that groups like the American Academy of Pediatrics are engaged in a massive coverup of harmful vaccines.

McCarthy said in the article released Wednesday that the American Academy of Pediatrics "sucks."

Too bad the Wall Street bailout debate is devoid of celebrity combatants. Just imagine how spicy it would be if Heidi Klum was ripping Kate Hudson for her stance on credit default swaps.

Me-OW!

Thank you so much for your post, well said. That's the reason why toxins do not show up in the feces, urine, hair, etc. It's because the kids are not excreting it. Vaccines are just one way kids and adults can receive the toxins. Dental amalgams, coal burning power plants, water, fish, light bulbs (CFL's), etc. are other ways. We live in a toxic society and the love of money seems to be the contributing factor. Few people stand up for the truth! It has been that way for hundreds of years.

Thank you for your post!

So you think Jenny was wrong to be upset that vaccines caused her child's symptoms? It amazes me that one woman has the courage to stand up to many, when every one tends to be brainwashed.

By the way, there is plenty of evidence from scientists, docs, chemsts that shows shows kids who have autism, also have higher levels of mercury, Boyd Haley and Andrew cutler are just a few names if you care to do the research for yourself and not rely on the FDA and CDC.

BTW, the love

"Has anyone seen the nutcase men that posted on that board? I bet you there's more posts about her boobs than about vaccines! I didn't know she was a playboy model! That alone makes her NOT the best spokesperson. In a man's eyes especially, she can never be taken seriously."

The beautiful thing about knowing the truth is that all you have to do is seek to find it. Who cares if someone has a Ph.d from Harvard or an ivy league school, and who used to be a model. your judging someone.

I'll take someone who uses their heart to seek out the truth any day, regardless of their past.

Yeah, thanks for bringing that up. If we feed children proper food, give clean water and clean air, then why do we need all the vaccines? They would naturally build better and healthier immune systems.

It's so hard to get someone to see logic isn't it. It's like mercury bad, mercury injected muptiple times even worse. It's common sense, yet it's so hard for people to see.

Thanks twoscoops, whoever you are!

Yes, it is common sense but I get carried away often and maybe I should always re-read my posts later...days later I'm more prone to read the way others do.

Sometimes I see that I'm awful and not respectful to Mom's like Judi. I know she believes her side as strong as I believe mine. Thanks for the reassurance though, I needed that! :) At times I forget that there's a person behind every screen name but at the same time, I really want people to talk about this issue and it seems that making people mad at me often does the trick, even when its not my intentions. So thanks for the supportive email!

I'm sorry Judi and Andrew - if you're still reading Judi - yes, it's an apology!

OKAAAAAAyyyyyy so I was ignorant because I didn't know she was a playboy model? I'm sorry but I don't keep up with celebrities, never have. And really, I could care less about her past - I was pointing out the FACT that men can't seem to get past it. And no, my boobs are probably bigger than hers (were at one time anyway)...not fake either - and my days of obsessing over my "beauty" are long gone - so I don't know where the statement about jealousy could possibly come from - I've never really been jealous over anyone in my entire adult life, that I can think of...WHO ARE YOU anyway??? Another Dexter changing your screenname again???

Haha, no Dexter here, not sure who Dexter is. We are on the same side of the vaccine fence. I just don't see how someone's past can affect their present beliefs, their present passions. I'm not even sure that my statement was directed towards you, I read so many posts while I was at work. I have no beef with you.

i just get upset with peole who think it's okay to inject poison into little kids, and heck , anyone for that matter. I'm glad others are pssaionate about helping others. My apologies to you!
