I just heard about this episode of Sid the Science Kid. Do you think this is better or worse than some of the other things they teach our kids in school?

A little while ago, I remember reading an article that discussed how teaching students in schools about vaccinations was going to take a higher priority because the parents were considered too stoopid. (I'm paraphrasing that, but, it was relatively close).

I actually saw that episode of Sid The Science Kid. My 2 yr old likes the show. But after that, I have become very leery about any tv watching. We limit her tv time but I thought a show on science aimed at preschoolers would be ok, I guess not.

That episode was on last week. I swiftly turned it off. There was nothing about side effects nor anything about how it doesn't always work. Plus I did not like Sid and the others playing and glamorizing it.

I see it as a teaching moment so I let my kids watch it. I even make my 11 yr old watch Friday's Glen Beck episodes so he can see what public schoolers are *not* learning and eventually be able to see indoctrination first-hand when he gets into college. I hope my kids will ALWAYS look things up and consider the source instead of blindly sheepling along like so many do. (Those who fully trust the CDC and FDA come to mind.)
