Hey all.. I am new here and definitely have some opinions on vaccinating, especially against HPV- and childhood vaccines. I am in major research mode, as my 18 mo old DD is due for "vaccinations" soon, but I have here on a delayed schedule for many of them, and some of them i will not do at all.
I will get into more discussion about all this at a later time, but i was wondering if anyone has a resource that states exactly WHAT is in vaccines. I am specifically looking at MMR. I know that it has aborted fetal cells in the Rubella part of the vaccine. I REFUSE to have that injected into my daughter's body. I am not a super religious person, but I don't believe it's ethical whatso ever to be putting that into our children's body. I am curious as to what else is in there.
Also, I have heard some pediatricians offer the mumps & measles vaccines seperately, w/ no rubella vaccination. Anyone have any advice on where to get more info like this? I am looking for something that is cut & dry, which i know will be hard because every side has an opinion.

Do you think that wikipedia, whale.to and the ever conflicted CDC (and their absence of reference to statistics) supports your statement that healthy children die of chicken pox?

I won't argue that a healthy baby could die from the chicken pox - but how many?

"Prior to the licensing of the chickenpox vaccine in 1995, almost all persons in the United States had suffered from chickenpox by adulthood. Each year, the virus caused an estimated 4 million cases of chickenpox, 11,000 hospitalizations, and 100-150 deaths."
So of those 100-150 deaths how many deaths were of healthy babies? And how many were administered fever-treating medications?
You need to weigh the risk of complication from the disease against complications from the risk of vaccination.

I do realize its the debate board, I post on vaccine support and the non vaccine support board randomly. I did provide links, you just didn't like the ones I chose, I'm not going to continue to jump through hoops to make you happy, you aren't going to concede anyways.... you believe no healthy babies die from CP, so be it.

Yes I'm passive aggressive, you've got me all figured out. But I'm not playing victim, I'm not hurt in anyway so I'm not sure what you mean by your statement.

I gave you links, and like most people with a position on a topic either you like or dislike the well from which the info is retrieved. My statement was not in any way earth shattering, healthy babies can die from chicken pox, is this news?

Actually, I was able to send a note and request the account be deleted, I realize its voluntary but I'd like the account w/my info deleted when I go.....so I'm waiting for a response is all and I printed the decline for vaccination form that one of the cm's had posted.

Where did I state chicken pox was to be feared? I simply stated that is not only sick and immune deficient babies that can die from Chicken pox, thats ALL I stated.

Your last remark is just ridiculous, I'm not afraid of being harassed by "non vaxxers" as you say.......... honestly we are wasting space in this persons post by this pointless banter.
I can't believe if you've seen my posts that you don't know I worry about vaccine safety and selectively and delay vaccines.
Anyways, this is pointless and we are wasting our time.
