You're not the first person to ever get banned.... don't run off.

Debate / Discussion boards are all an exercise in tact.

Jamie,

You may be right in some circles, however, I spent some time reviewing my comments - including the two which were pulled.

Concur with Jamie re: 'tact'.

Rands,

You've read most of my posts - if you think I crossed the line, let me know.

As stated before, I can guarantee you, that the regular posters here never reported any of your messages. To repeat from Jamie, you have to come with your big girl pants on, and by that, that was aimed mainly towards those that don't follow the rec. schedule as it was at one time, the minority.

You know for the most part, most those in the opp here on this board as regulars, are very tolerant. We may not agree, but I believe we're very tolerant.

Jon,

You repeatedly addressed people by name, and poked at people by name. You'll have to learn to be more passive aggressive.

CL's don't have anything to do with your membership...

Jamie,

Is that A ToS violation?

Debate is absolutely welcome here, what else would we do?

The way I see it, the reason controversy begins in the first place - with any topic mind you, be it circ, breastfeeding, or whatever, is because a subset of people went against the marketing (or scientific) grain and started to poke holes in a belief system that was constructed with shareholders in mind, and then acting on that learned knowledge thereby outcasting them by society's standards for being different. The promotion of discrimination based on an ill-formed and irrational opinion of infectious disease has no place in civil discourse.

You want people to "take a stand" on very complex issue and are treating it like it's black and white...that's okay, you're not the only one. Reality's complicated that way, and the minute you start heavy-handing reasonable and intelligent people with bad science in response to extremely simple questions, then you are facilitating an environment based on distrust. If you can't reach average citizens (no pun intended) with a tactful and personalized tongue, then you're right, you might as well give up. Being intelligent is only part of your message, because if you can't relate to people individually and respectfully, and just continue to toss them all into the looney bin, then you won't win anyway.

Bias here? You'll find people having to CONSTANTLY defend their choices to others who don't understand. Occasionally, people pop in and tell us how stupid we all are and that we're hiding in the herd from the sacrifices their children have made (not having a clue who even posts here). Apparently, they don't realize that they're hiding in the herd too and think children are the only population creating this sanitized effect.

You have done your fair share of obfuscating the real issues on this highly polarized topic, if you haven't dodged the question entirely. And you've also misled the audience on a number of occasions about the personal character of people who engage you and discredit them based on character. Are you willing to admit that?

Well Satan, I wasn't aware that the CL could vote on revocation of any membership. They've probably discussed revoking mine, because most people just want me to shut up... even people that agree with me. As to coming back under another name, dunno, haven't had to. I don't know if it's a violation, and personally don't care if people come back under other names. Going to banned camp sucks, sometimes you have to go if you plan on getting any better at playing your instrument.

If the messages that were flagged said things like: "there's no use in arguing with the likes of x, y, z, " ... yeah, that could be considered a violation. The moderating on this board is nothing like other places (MDC comes to mind) and I think the mods do a pretty good job of shutting down threads that become inflammatory or turn into personal attacks in lieu of real discussion. Calling people anti-vax psychopaths could have had a similar affect with more passive aggressive flavor, you'll have to work at that - it's an artform.
