Really Need info

Hi there, I want to find a good place to research both sides of the debate. I have a friend who has two kids that were vaccinated and are now regressive autistic and two kids that weren't vaccinated and are completely fine. And I wasn't ever completely vaccinated, managed to live through the measles. I'm 4 1/2 months pregnant and trying to make a plan to tell my doctor before the baby is taken out of me and poked with 16 needles.
I'm sorry to say but I feel very ignorant on the matter and I would like to be able to make a informed decision one way or another.
And is there a possibility to only vaccinate partially? And what all does the delayed schedule involve?
Sorry to ask so many questions but I'm so lost and I don't want to harm my baby.
Thanks so much for your help.

I think Inside Vaccines is a good place to start.

www.insidevaccines.com

I also think the CDC pink book should be imperative reading.

Good for you on wanting to make an informed choice.

I was a victim of birth rape, twice, and can unequivocally say that if I had it to do over again... I would do it at home, or in a birthing center with a doula.

Congrats on the pregnancy...

I'm in Colorado, close to Denver.
What is birth rape?

Your state has all 3 exemptions, which you can read about here: http://www.nvic.org/Vaccine-Laws/state-vaccine-requirements/colorado.aspx

With a philosophical, you can pick and choose - not a big deal.

It was Jamie (aka: Critical Thinker) that was talking about the "birth rape". I believe she was referring to her experience in a hospital - but I'll defer that one over to her... :-)

Here's an article on birth rape. It's different for every person that experiences it...

I hope my question didn't sound crass or rude. I'm very sorry if it did.

I am so sorry that you had to endure this. I just read through the article. I'm not sure I wouldn't be able to physically hurt the doctor afterwards, if not for the fact that you had just given birth. Thank you for the warning.
My very outspoken loud and strong mother will be there with me, I will inform her of this situation and if anything goes wrong I'm sure she will be my muscle.
And her and I discussed it, I don't want vaccinations for my child. It's not that I don't want to protect my baby against diseases or anything, it's that I can't take those shots back. My mother and I discussed it at length last night and she said that she won't leave the baby's side and will make sure they do NOT vaccinate, even if she has to take the needle away herself.

She also mentioned that there had been situations long ago where the nurses or medical staff would poke the baby's foot with a long needle and draw quite a bit of blood. The needle would cause damage to the foot and the lack of blood could cause brain damage. I'm now researching that. Either way, they aren't bringing any needles near my baby.

Thank you everyone for your input and help. I really appreciate it.

Jamie~
I had never heard of this before I read that article. My heart aches for you and every other woman who's had to endure something like that. It is truly disgusting. I was in shock while reading the comments. I cannot believe how many women have been through this! Is there any recourse? I would own that f-ing hospital! What a travesty of the already corrupt medical community. I really hope that you and all affected by this can somehow find some peace.

Jamie also had a very good birthing plan prior to delivery.
