Do you agree that they need to be raised?

National Vaccine Information Center Calls on FDA to Raise Vaccine Safety Testing & Labeling Standards

Washington, D.C. May 10, 2010 – During a special meeting of the FDA Vaccines & Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) held May 7th to discuss new information on contamination of rotavirus vaccines with DNA from two pig viruses, the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) called for the FDA to raise legal vaccine safety testing and labeling standards.

“The contamination of rotavirus vaccines with animal virus DNA that was not detected pre or post-licensure is an important wake up call for industry and government,” said NVIC Co-Founder and President Barbara Loe Fisher. ”Parents being told by federal officials to give their babies Rotarix and RotaTeq vaccine expect those vaccines and others to be free from adventitious agent contamination.”

I don't know about *raising* the standards since the standards are already without ethics. I think a good first step would be to minimize conflicts of interest by not allowing those in the industry to financially benefit from stocks or speeches.

I think we need a completely separate organization to oversee vaccine issues because our US government cannot be trusted and other countries blindly follow our "standards" without even realizing the massive corruption that's going on.

BTW - they didn't destroy the vaccines containing the pig virus, no our FDA says the vaccines are perfectly safe...probably some kid somewhere in the US getting that pig-virus contaminated vaccine right now! It makes me sick just thinking about it!!!
