Other vaccine myths you would like to see addressed?
The insidevaccines crew is open to suggestions.
Well, we have been working on the myths lately, perhaps it is time for a break and a change of focus.
I'll ask if anyone is interested in working on tetanus--the vaccine and the treatment.
There is a myth side to it, though. The weird bit where doctors try to given an unvaxed child the tetanus shot to protect them against tetanus due to an injury. It won't work. Their own literature says it won't work.
This actually happened to me. A doctor gave me a tetanus shot for a scrape from falling off a bicycle.
how about the difference between ingested and injected aluminum.
there is a little bit on Tetanus, here: http://insidevaccines.com/wordpress/vaccine-efficacy-how-often-do-vaccines-work/tetanus/
If you look at insidevaccines, there is a menu to the right called "Quick Picks". I clicked on Dtap and there was a choice for tetanus at the top of the page. Lots of useful info on those pages, although I'll admit that some of it needs updating.
As an all volunteer blog, our collective energy ebbs and flows. Not many people like to do the more tedious maintenance stuff.
