Vaccine Ads

DH and I were listening to the radio yesterday and heard a pro-vax ad. It was a small child's voice talking about how important vaccines are and at the end she says "Vaccines are like hugs"!!! I was beside myself. I've seen the ads on tv w/the child's voice and cute babies but hadn't heard this one yet. Anyone else heard this?

Would a tv or radio station allow an anti-vax ad to run?

"Vaccines are like hugs, you don't want to miss one."

This is the current marketing slogan for Immunize Texas - not sure about nationally though.

I saw that 20/20 too! Have you noticed though that most of the time if you see something on tv (main cable stations, especially) that is against the norm they seem pretty condescending about it. (especially Barbara Walters or Diane Sawyer)

The big difference between the two - hugging you are embracing - vaccinating - you are holding down.

I think those dolls are creepy too. Not judging anyone's hobbies but, yeah...creepy. And expensive! Dr. Phil had some of those women on not too long ago.

Not the same - vaccines are good things. They protect lives

And hugs are? I'm just trying to understand what you're saying.
