I haven't read it yet, but I can answer that. It's kinda like politics. Those who have a clue are aware of the corruption. Those who don't care to involve themselves know nothing, except what they have heard others repeat. Sadly, too many are in the *know nothing* camp.
I think a lot of people are too lazy to actually look for information themselves. So if they want to know something, they ask someone who they think is smarter than them...whatever that fool answers with --- ends up being the gospel.
Another good question is why won't they believe Wakefield when he tells what happened in his own words. Yet they believe all the lies...never mind all the conflicts of interest in EVERY piece of medical science out there. What he did was nothing when you consider all the other stuff. But I guess they don't know about all the other stuff. 'Just goes to show how many comment here but do very little reading here.
