This is my 5th c-section. The surgery went so well. My dr was so pleased with it and said everything looked really good and my recovery was going so good in the first 2 wks. I thought I was healing so good and dh was letting me rest and I felt pretty good. Then last week I started having this burning pain in the left lower part of my stomach.

I'd call, it doesn't sound normal...and not to freak you out (because this is an EXTREME horror story case..but) a friend of a friend had burning pain, turned out it was a really bad infection that she almost died from (they had to amputate her legs...she barely has used of her hands...) it was really bad...I'm sure you're probably fine, but burning this far into your recovery just sounds weird...I'd rather have a doctor look at me like I'm a bit silly than ignore it...

Hi Tammy,

Congratulations on #5! I hope you're enjoying your new little one! What you are describing doesn't sound too off or too odd to me. Sometimes they get a different nerve and it is extra sore and causes those shooting pains. (I've only had 3 C sections, though.) With that said, if you're feeling that something is off... then I agree that you should call the doctor! Do you have any of your pain meds? Did you try to wean them early? I always try to go to the lower dose, but then take them longer - that might be an option for you! (Or getting a refill from your doc!)

Good luck and Keep us posted!!
