I have never posted here before, but I wanted to know if anyone has been through

this before. My first DD was born at 40 weeks by c/s due to failure to progress(I also has pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes).

My second was born c/s just because of the previous c/s and they said my uterus was looking thin. I had no complications with him.

The third I has was born at 29 weeks by c/s due to severe pre-eclapsia. During the operation the Dr. did say not to have anymore babies because my uterus was very scarred and it had adhered(Sp?) itself to my abdominal wall(sorry so graphic). Thas was 2 years ago.

Now tis baby was a complete suprise. I am worried about the c/s amd about the pre-eclampsia. I am 12 weeks now and haven't been to see a Dr. yet becuase there is a 2 month waiting list.

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience, sort of like mine that had a good outcome.

Thanks,

Amber EDD 1/23/04

Amber, you need to find another doctor if there is a 2 month waiting period. With your history there is no reason that your dr. couldn't fit you in sooner.

That being said, I don't have any experience w/4 csxns - I am scheduled for my 3rd in a couple of days. I have heard of women being told not to attempt another pregnancy b/c of adhesions and "thinned out" uterus, but who went on to have successful pregnancies. Also, preeclampsia is not a "for sure" thing with each pregnancy, although you obviously have a much higher chance of experiencing it since you have before.

You really need to see a dr. - like yesterday - I would imagine he/she might even refer you to a maternal/fetal subspecialist or a perinatologist/high risk dr. You might even ask to be referred by your current dr. if he is too busy to see you. (Personally I'd just call up every OB near me until somebody could fit me in pronto, then worry about finding a permanent arrangement)

Big Hugs, Stephanie scheduled csxn 7/15 w/#3

GET THEE TO A DOCTOR ASAP. If not that one, another. Doctors are paid to be pessimists, and the uterus may or may not be a problem, but 3 months with no prenatal care and a history of early pre-eclamspia is a recipe for trouble.

Thank you for your replies. I will try to get to see a different dr., but at the moment I have no insurance. I have applied for medi-caid, and will see Tuesday if I qualify. I agree that I need to be seen sooner. This has been driving me crazy sence I found out I was pregnant. I actually made the appt. the day I found out.

But thanks for the input, Amber

First of all, I would insist on getting into the doctor soon. If you have to wait another 2 months you will be 20 weeks!! Secondly, even if you cannot get in to see the doctor right away there should be a nurse who can answer your question and refer you to the doctor if she thinks it is necessary. I'd be on the phone tomorrow. Good luck!

Hi, Im writing to give you a positive outlook. Ive had 5 c/s and just found out Im preg with number 6. The doctors said after my 3rd c/s I had major adhesions very thin scar etc not to have anymore. Well I didnt listen and although petrified went on to have numbers 5 and now Im preg with number 6. I have had so many bad reactions with having number 3 onwards because of the c/s but I recovered from each with no problems despite my bad scarring adhesions thiness etc. You will be fine please trust me. I listened to myself of course there are risks but I actually have recovered quickly from my 5th because I knew what to expect and I actually think it waas the easiest c/s I had. Good luck you'll be fine!
