Am I doomed to live in maternity undies forever?

Ok, I know not forever really, and I'm not really wearing maternity undies, I'm wearing regular undies but two sizes larger and the highcut brief style. But argh!

I have a belly pouch from my first pregnancy and I really don't see it ever going away, lol. So if I wear bikini undies, especially now - being 8 weeks PP, the underwear line is RIGHT under my belly pouch and on the darn incision. It kills! So I'm stuck wearing the larger undies and having them up higher over my stomach. Of course this is fun because they droop everywhere else, lol.

At what point were you able to start putting more pressure on your incision?

Also, I just thought of a question about the incision...

I was looking at it yesterday and noticed that it has a split in it. It looks like this:

Ok, first, NO you will not be in maternity undies forever. LOL

I think by 3 mos I was brave enough to start trying to wear things down lower again. But, I really don't like when I muffin top over my pants, so I do go for the higher ones still. Not because it hurts the incision anymore, but to give the belly control for now. I expect to be in them for a while still though cause this belly still needs some controlling. LOL

Any my incision line has little places like that too. Too bad the whole thing wouldn't just fade in like that!

I prefer high-cut briefs, so you got me on that one.

But my incision looked like that the first time. It hasn't healed enough yet this time, I think, to look like that yet. Or maybe it never will.

I would guess that the spot in your incision may actually be a place that healed better. That's merely a guess though. As for the granny panties... I think I must have been like 10 or 12 weeks PP before I could switch. I know I was about 5 or 6 weeks before I was out of maternity jeans and into my old ones but I could only wear the ones that were a little higher waisted. I'd guess I was somewhere around 16 weeks before I went back to low rise jeans. But as a side note, here I am at almost 10 months PP and my cousin hugged me hard around the waist the other day and it burned just like when it was fresh! Not fun. That's an isolated incedent though.
