Hi,

I was in very similar situation as you last year end of September. I wanted to get pregnant ASAP and I saw 3 doctors and they said you should normally wait 2 years between c/s but because of my age they 6 months so I waited the longest 6 months in my life - it was horrible. I never heard to wait only 3 months and believe me I researched because I did not wanted to wait 6 months.

but on this board I think I read that some girls got pregnant after 3 months by accident. I don't think it's a big difference if it's 2.5 months or 3 months like your doctor suggested. The numbness on the scar you will have for years and years aperantely. It's been only over a year for me and it's there. I am having c/s in 13 days and the scar hurts here and there so get ready for it - but it's not that bad it just burns here and there.

They want you to wait longer so the scar on the uterus heals so it's ready for another pregnancy.

Thank you for your reply. So sorry about your daughter too. What happened if you don't mind me asking. How was you cut? I have a horizontal bikini cut and it looks pretty good so far if you ask me. I still feel sensitivity sometimes though.

Hi,

I was in your shoes one year ago. We lost full term baby, I had emergency c-section, also bikini cut. Like you I wanted to be pregnant ASAP again. First my doc talked about waiting 3-6 months , but she had actually okeyd me at 6 weeks checkup - it was first happy day in long time :-). I was / am scared about uterus rupture, but somewhere I have read story about lady, which got pregnant 3 times(!)

Veronika,

Thank you so much for your reply, that really does give me hope. I have been reading lots of stories also and it does help to hear about other people that have gotten pg soon after a c. So sorry about your loss, I know exactly how you feel unfortunatly. I notice on here that you didn't get pg for a while after you lost your baby? Was you trying and just didn't happen or did you wait? Also, it has been 2.5 months and my scar looks reddish color and still have some nerve sensitivity. Does this sound normal? I think I healed up pretty good b/c had no problems but not sure. So your dr looked you over at 6 weeks and said ok to start trying again?

Yes, she OKeyd us six weeks PP, she said I healed really well :-). So we "jumped" on it right away :-). Actually, we have one little action before that (with protection), I sooo wished, that the condom would not work and I would ended up pregnant. Well, we weren't that lucky, we were TTCing for long six months after doc okeyed us, I was charting and we were BDing a lot. I tried some home remedies to get my cycle to normal, it helped a lot, but not enough. I didn't want medical help right away, I was still fresh after C-S so I didn't want to push it too much. I was happy that we were allowed to try on our own (at least).

Well after six months (so 7.5 months PP) my cycles were still really long and my lutheal phase was really short (the time after ovulation and before period) so we went to doc. We did some blood testing and found out I have serious fertility problem. You can imagine, how much that upset us, when all you can think about is second baby and then such a bummer. (just to clarify, I always had a loooong cycles, I just didn't pay any attention to it, I thought it was normal. We conceived our angel daughter the first month we were trying - talk about miracle).

My doc gave me a clomid and did blood test before and after I finish the 5 day supply and my FSH were high, which indicates dimishing ovarian reserve. And for that clomid is supposed to NOT help. Well, miraculously I have ovulated on 22 cycle day (way sooner then any time before) and we got pregnant! Talk about second miracle. (BTW I still have link to fertility chart in my siggy, if you want to check it out :-)

It was stressful journey, there is board on ivillage - TTC after Stillbirth and Infant loss, and the support there helped me a lot to keep going :-) And when you will get pregnant check Pregnant after Stillbirth - that is where I am now. Unfortunately there is a lot ladies like us, but it is great to get support from someone who completely understands you and have the same emotional rollorcoaster :-)

My scar is still colorful. Sometimes is pink, sometimes is red and sometimes is purple.
